Santa's Helper

For Student Council Lilette played the part of Santa's reindeer at Monday morning meeting. First she had her hair done up (way up) in braids for antlers.

Here is Lilette's wonderful teacher, Mrs. Riley, putting wire in Lilette's braids to make them stay in place:

Then she and the other reindeer hid in the library with Santa (the principals husband Mr. Allan):

Then they surprised the student body who were in the middle of Monday Morning Meeting:

Then they helped Santa and Mrs. Allan (the principal) hand out treats to the hard working teachers for Christmas:

Vineyard doesn't vote for their student council. The students chosen have to go through an application process. I'm glad Lilette has had this opportunity. She has been able to come out of her shell a little bit in a way she wouldn't have been able to if it was a popularity contest (like it will be next year in Jr. High).
