Back Hand Spring

Eight Months ago Lilette came home from school and told Beth she has secretly wanted to be a cheerleader since she was a little girl. Beth was shocked but we have both tried to be supportive even though we don't know ANYTHING about this "sport".

Lilette always puts a lot of effort into her goals. She has worked very hard and over come a great deal of fear. She has now graduated to doing a back hand spring on a cheese mat.

Her coach texted this to us this evening (he's very proud of his students):

The Cheerleading Coach for Mountian View High School told the girls in order to go from Little League to just having the opportunity to try out for Junior Varsity or Varsity cheer they all have to be able to do a back hand spring on hard ground (like concrete).
