Halloween Time

On Saturday we did a few family activities we typically reserve for October. Beth made a pumpkin shaped cake and some pumpkin chocolate-chip flavored sandwich cookies.

We all really enjoyed the cookies.

Beth's mother Debbie and sister Sandy helped the kids make ghosts out of white chinese paper lanterns.

Here are Jayden, Nate, Miles, and Lilette showing off their work:

The kids' favorite Halloween tradition is when their Aunt Sandy paints their faces. There is Sandy starting with Nate:

After his mom was done painting his face, Jayden ran to the bathroom mirror and said "I'm a pirate. This is awesome!"

Here Miles is telling Aunt Sandy he wants to look like Jack Skellington. Nate has finished.

Here is Brian reading to Lily the Kitty and Jayden the Pirate. We think Miles turned out more like one of the Cobra Kai bullies from the Karate Kid movie. Sweep the leg, Miles!

There is no fear in this dojo! Looks like fun. I wish I was there for the cookies and face painting. Also, the cake and lantern making. Also everything. :)

Give him the body baaaag! :)

So fun, you guys! You always do the coolest stuff. I think we need some of these recipes posted. You know...for people who like to pretend they can bake.
