First Snowman of the Season

This past week we got our first "real" snow that stuck to the ground. Before school, Miles was dressed in record time. Beth told him that he could go outside, but not to touch the snow because she didn't want him to get wet. He said okay. Despite his best efforts to heed the admonition to avoid the snow, Miles could not help himself and came back in a few minutes later quite excited saying that there was enough snow to make a snowman and that he had in fact made one. Here's the result:


It may be difficult to see, but it is a miniature snowman. Sure it was more a handful of compacted snow, but it was too cute to get mad, so Beth took a picture. Miles was very proud of the first snowman of the season. Here's a view with Miles to get a sense of the scale of his snowman:
