On this day we take the opportunity to eat fondue, light paper lanterns, play the alp horn, and yell "Ricolla" very loudly without fear or retribution. Maybe not the last part, but certainly it is a day our family remembers our heritage and Swiss roots. I encourage you all to go out today and celebrate Swiss Independence day by eating some chocolate, or perhaps by being completely neutral.
