One of the stories about her that we didn't know was from when she was a little girl. She loved playing jacks so much that she would play until her knuckles bled on the sidewalk. Another story was from when she was a young adult and was called on an LDS mission to England. While she was there, Word War II broke out and she had to be evacuated. When they were on the ship coming back to the U.S., the ship was so crowded that people stood shoulder-to-shoulder. Apparently, Aunt Willie could hear and see other ships being torpedoed. Scary stuff.
Here is a picture before the Service at the Salt Lake City Cemetery:
Here are the lovely flowers Beth's Aunt Mary provided (Thanks Aunta Mary!!!!):
Two of Aunt Willie's grandchildren (Beth's second cousins) Will & Kristy and Beth's Aunt Ruth:
Aunt Willie's Great-granddaughter, Lillian Anne (Kristy's daughter) by the casket:
Beth's Uncle Allen, Aunt Ruth, Uncle John, Aunt Catherine, Beth, and Bill (Beth's father):
Beth really loved her Great Aunt Willie. Aunt Willie was always full of stories about Beth's grandfather being the most handsome boy in High School or stories about her own father (Beth's great-grandfather) driving her around in a horse-drawn cart to pick up produce for the grocery store he owned.
May God Rest Your Soul, Aunt Willie.

Beth, it was great to see you at my grandma's service. It meant a lot to have so many family members there. The pictures turned out great! Even the one with me and Billy :)
