Last weekend, while we were down in Southern California visiting for Elise's wedding, we had the opportunity to go down to San Diego to see Meg and Jared's baby Emmett blessed (Meg is Brian's niece). It was a really nice experience to see Jared give his son a very sweet blessing.

Here is Jared and his son Andrew waving goodbye in front of their house. When we arrived, Lilette said "They live in a nice neighborhood." mainly because there was a palm tree in front of their house. It is a nice place, but apparently Lilette equates palm trees with swanky neighborhoods and affluence. Such are her incredibly strict standards for success.

Emmett is quite adorable. Brian usually jokes around about me stealing babies (30 Rock refrence). But with Emmett I think he may have been secretly scared I was having some kind of impulse to kidnap him because I wanted to hold him so much & was pretty unwiling to let other people have a turn with the baby.
