We played a little Rock Band (naturally) where Scott and I switched off on guitar, Beth and Scott mainly did vocals, and Emily (Scott's wife) rocked the drums.
We of course talked a lot and probably kept our guests up too late since they have to drive today, but as we did so, Emily completed a little knitting project.
Today, my brother Clinton and his wife Lea and their kids came over to celebrate Lea's birthday. It had actually also recently been Clinton's birthday, but we did not make him wear the special birthday hat that seemed to be enjoyed as much by the kids as it was by Lea.
Afterward, Scott and I played a bit of basketball with the hoop severely lowered because that's how we used to always play when we were younger, and it just happens to be set at that height for Miles anyway. Neither of us are super competative when it comes to sports, though we enjoy them so it was more just goofing around than playing.
Here's a video of their daughter Veronica with Lily on the swingset in our backyard.
They're gone now and we miss them already. Its always fun to see them. We hope they have a very safe trip sailing around Southern California this next week.
