Saturday Is a Special Day

Today, we went to a park with my brother Tim and my sister Sandy. The kids played on the Jungle Gym and we did some carbonation experiments to entertain them (and then cleaned up our messes and walked home).

Here is a string of pictures showing my nephew Jayden before, during, and after he was hurt on the play bridge:

Here are Jayden, Miles, Rossalynn and Lilette playing on top of the same bridge:

Here is a video of Tim emptying a pack of mentos into a 2 Liter of Diet Coke:

The kids loved the "volcano".

Then we went out for sushi in honor of Will's birthday and Sandy's birthday (both in March). My brother Tim was very excited because he was away for two weeks training for the Air Force Reserves and has had nothing but MREs to eat. Today is actually Poppy's birthday (my grandfather) so we reminisced about going out with Mumzy and Poppy (my grandparents on my mother's side) to Chuck-o-Rama.

Then we had ice cream cake at mom and dad's.

That picture of Jayden crying looks so sad. He was very upset for a little while. But I love those photos because Jayden likes to look at them and then explain to me, "It doesn't hurt anymore." while he is pointing to his forehead. I guess maybe he wants me to know he's alright. Just in case I was worried.

Looks like a fun time was had by all except for the minor bump. Liked the soda experiment. Have you done the one with Mountain Dew where you can make it glow in the dark?

Chuck O'Rama will always remind me of Mumzy and Poppy. We don't have any up here, but whenever anyone from Utah mentions that place the memories flood in! Happy birthday to all!

Alice, we have not ever heard of making Mountian Dew glow in the dark. How is it done. We would love to try it. Does it take a few days? Is it messy?

The picture of the kids on the bridge reminds me of how we all climbed on the stair banisters at B-Street. Happy Birthday to all!
